Kurt Siegel, a 1975 graduate of Linton High School and retired Schenectady Deputy Fire Chief, credits his journalism and acting teachers in high school for teaching him the importance of empathy, listening, and communicating skills that he used daily as a firefighter and in his current role within the district.
